History
Fruehauf's original location in Boulder, CO
In 1978 Vic and Gretchen opened Fruehauf's Plant & Garden Center in Boulder, Colorado specializing in plants, flowers, patio furniture, and gifts. Over the years the plants and flowers were phased out and we now focus on patio furniture, grills, and gifts. After the Fruehauf's retired, their daughter Mary ran the store for decades before long time employees Mariah and Micah continued to run the day to day operations after her passing in 2015. In 2018 the Boulder property was sold and we relocated to a more updated and central location in Westminster, Colorado where we continue to thrive.
Noteworthy
Fruehauf's has always been involved with the Casual Furniture industry to stay on top of industry happenings and trends. We attend every industry conference and casual furniture market. Management has served on the Retail Council, and on the Board of Directors for the International Casual Furnishings Association.
The Mary Fruehauf Retail Genius Award - This award was established by the International Casual Furniture Industry to bestow on a retailer exhibiting "out of the box" retailing to honor the late Mary Fruehauf.
Flamingos for Children's Hospital Every year Fruehauf's provides the flamingos to Flamingos for Children's Hospital to decorate and fly them to Children's Hospital Colorado to pass out to the patients
